Reimagining the Art of Appmaking

We’ve mentioned how honored we are by the tremendous privilege we’ve had to have worked with groundbreaking companies. We’d like to use this space to briefly showcase some of the products we’ve built for them as we want to shine the spotlight on those who’ve helped us accomplish so much.

OpenTable: OpenTable for Restaurants

OpenTable’s success soon made it the world’s go-to site for restaurant reservations, but this popularity also left them with the problem of chaotic restaurant traffic. When OpenTable came to Lolay for help with developing a tool capable of delivering high orchestration between servers and the iPads at restaurants, OpenTable for Restaurants was the end result.

OpenTable for Restaurants is a restaurant-focused app that allows servers to manage reservations and tables in sync with their OpenTable Electronic Reservation Book. Restaurateurs can make reservations, see their floor plans and server assignments, seat guests, provide status updates, and send text messages to guests on their wait-list.

Thomson Reuters: 3E Platform

Thomson Reuters’ Elite platform offers enterprise business management solutions that allow organizations to run all operational aspects of their firms. So when Thomson Reuters envisioned an easy to use law practice management solution that would be a quality addition to their Elite family, it sought Lolay to create their 3E platform.

Through its configurable 3E platform delivered through a consistent web-based user experience, the client is able to delegate the cumbersome process of tracking and managing activities to the 3E software.

Built in capabilities of the 3E platform include workflow & collaboration, reporting & analysis, security, multi-currency and multi-language support. 3E does not only provide support with areas such as financial management, client and matter management, risk management and business development, it can also be implemented in a few weeks and includes financial reporting.

Moonfrye-Seedling: Mobile

The family oriented startup for parents and kids came to Lolay to develop its first mobile application. Moonfrye originally focused on sharing with followers interactive DIY projects that parents could do with their children and it requested that Lolay build an app capable of being an innovative photo collage-making platform.

The final Moonfrye app features a plethora of colorful backgrounds and stickers for photo decoration. The app also contains auto-detect technology that makes it easy for parents to extract images of people (their children) from snapshots and drop them into the app’s 10 themed collage sets and backgrounds. Recently, Moonfrye has transformed itself to P.S. XO and merged with the Toy and Crafts Company Seedling.

ZipRecruiter: Mobile

Launched as a startup in 2010, ZipRecruiter has one of the broadest based distributions of job postings and is also one of the best candidate-sourcing platforms in the business market. It is free for those seeking a job and has helped thousands procure one. Lolay is proud to have developed ZipRecruiter’s mobile application.

The ZipRecruiter app required that four million jobs, 500 job sites and 12 major employment platforms could seamlessly connect with people looking for work. Lolay complied with such a challenge by building interfaces that would provide local jobs that best matched the skillset of job hunters.

Additionally, the app sends registered users real-time notifications about new jobs available. Segregated by sector, location, profession and a host of other categories. We are proud to have helped ZipRecruiter streamline the stressful process of job-searching.

Alibaba: 11 Main Mobile

Although the Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba, dominated the East Asian digital market, it had one problem: It needed to find a way to cater to the average American consumer. Partnering with Lolay brought Alibaba the much sought-after solution: 11 Main.

A digital commerce platform for specialty shops and boutiques, 11 Main is product of Lolay’s efforts in working with Amazon's EC2 scalable web services. Lolay was entrusted with building an ecosystem to bring Alibaba merchandise to the U.S. consumer. The concept for 11 Main was derived from the shopping experience found on Main Streets across America.

Citrix: Evensity

Always seeking to better the workplace, Citrix wanted to find a way to add productivity and fun to business-outings -- whether one attends them physically or remotely. So Citrix partnered with Lolay to develop Evensity: An app to allow its users to connect with other attendees instantaneously via email and LinkedIn.

Evensity also allows users to stay in conversation with connections throughout an event. Event-goers can upload captured photos, videos, and notes to a visual timeline. Users can also record notes and highlight important points for their personal use. Evensity makes it easy to gather information, so more time can be spent connecting with others and making time at outings more engaging and productive.

eHarmony: Mobile

A premier dating site launched by Dr. Neil Clark Warren in 2000, an average of 438 members marry everyday in the US thanks to being matched by eHarmony.

In its journey to continue investigating and understanding what the key to long-term relationships are, eHarmony sought Lolay to develop its mobile application.

eHarmony’s mobile app was the first product Lolay developed. Lolay was fortunate to have been chosen to significantly contribute to the early development of the code but it was still quite a challenge to test formulas required to align the emotional, physical and recreational traits of people who meet in cyberspace.

Lolay developed the eHarmony app at a time where a number of platforms and frameworks were still in development. Nevertheless, as testing improved the algorithms, the app evolved became the #1 trusted platform couples know today.

Conclusion

All of these leading companies have believed in Lolay’s vision and promise of delivering nothing but the best, most precise, and safest products on time and within budget. Quietly, efficiently and effectively -- the Lolay way.
